Marking My 2nd Year Territory at PEOPLElogy. Game on!

Entering my second year at PEOPLElogy Group feels like I'm over the moon, catching up with a lot of new skills, new direction and goals, and new (better) working styles!

It might seem hard to believe for some people, but here's how I describe my feeling of working here for two years:

Working here feels like playing a video game—every checkpoint brings learning curves and invaluable experiences. If I ever find myself getting bored, I'd consider switching to a different game. But as of now, I am thoroughly enjoying playing this particular 'video game', so I'd say "GAME ON!".

Now that I have spent two years here, I suppose I have to continue this game, don't I? So, what's next for me?

Moving forward, how do I plan to ace this game?

Being a talent in a video that I curated from scratch involving scripting, storyboarding and shooting direction

Of course, a game definitely requires team players to battle in a game plan.

Hence, I aspire to be a game changer cum pivotal key player in my area of expertise; content marketing. My passion has always been centered around curating innovative content strategies that align with a brand's objectives, and bringing ideas to life to reach out to other people and impact them. That's the part whereby I strive to level up my content marketing game by working collaboratively with my creative team.

In June 2024 only, I've handled 19 projects in total across 4 sub-brands; the highest number of projects by far I've juggled here since I joined in 2022. Then, I realized that I need a team; content marketing team. Is this a sign of slowing down from being a key player, and move up towards climbing the ladder to be a leader?

Leaders play chess, not checkers.

Explaining the video marketing strategies and storyline to my creative team

As the saying goes, "Leaders play chess, not checkers."

In checkers, all pieces move the same. Leaders who treat everyone uniformly, like in checkers, would only limit their effectiveness and potential. A definite no-go for me.

But in chess, each piece has unique abilities. Leaders who recognize and leverage each team member's unique skills can maximize the team's strengths.

Now that we've come to this topic, this is how I envision myself working towards leadership in the next one to three year(s).

I strive to "taste the rainbow", just like Skittles.

Two years at PEOPLElogy, I must confess that life is not always rainbows here.

But I believe with great perseverance comes great opportunities. I strive to "taste the rainbow", just like the slogan of Skittles.

By seeking out new challenges and perspectives, I aim to enrich my skills and broaden my horizons. Whether it's through personal growth or professional endeavors, I am committed to experiencing life in all of rainbow's colours.

I just know and I can already predict—if I ever left this company one fine day, I'd cry my heart out. But let's just rest the case for now, I'm going to seek my rainbow game here as far as I could!

[Patting my back, saying I am going to find winning ways to win this game.]
