iD Mobile's cheeky Deadline Day OOH campaign

Network provider iD Mobile used football transfer deadline day last Friday for a tongue-in-cheek out of home campaign developed by creative agency Trouble Maker

Billboards advertising the brand at the busy Oxford Street-Tottenham Court Road crossroads featured customers who had switched to the service who all share names with famous English footballers.

iD Mobile found customers with the same surnames as England internationals Harry Kane, Jack Grealish, Ollie Watkins and Chloe Kelly to front the campaign.

“We wanted to tap into the excitement and chaos of transfer deadline day, but with a playful twist," said Jonny Grum, founder of Trouble Maker.

“Featuring famously named new signings to iD Mobile on giant billboards provides a great platform to highlight this brilliant new deal, and the value customers can derive from transferring to iD Mobile.”
