1. Tell us a bit about yourself and your background!

I'm originally from Brazil and spent most of my professional career there, where I honed my skills in administrative roles, sales support, and customer service across diverse sectors. Seeking new professional opportunities, I made the decision to move to Dublin, Ireland in 2015. This move has allowed me to expand my horizons and gain valuable international experience. Living and working in Dublin has exposed me to different cultures and working environments, enabling me to develop a high level of adaptability and flexibility. This experience has not only broadened my perspective but also equipped me with the ability to thrive in diverse settings. Throughout my career, I have built a diverse skill set that spans various sectors. My experience in administrative roles has given me a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate and manage tasks effectively. In sales support, I developed a customer-oriented mindset and an understanding of the importance of proving exceptional service. Moreover, my background in customer service has equipped me with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. With my extensive international experience combined with my versatile skill set, I am an asset to any organization. I am adaptable, self-motivated and thrive in challenging environments, whether working independently or as part of a team.

2. How did you get into the fashion industry?

In 2019 I came across SHEIN, a renowned fashion brand known for its trendy and affordable pieces. The brand's unique approach and ability to blend fashion-forward concepts with accessibility instantly caught my attention. When I learned about SHEIN's plan to establish an office in Dublin, I saw it as an incredible opportunity to combine my love for fashion with my professional aspirations. Recognizing the potential for growth and the chance to contribute to such a dynamic company, I eagerly applied for a position and I was thrilled to join the team. This role has provided me with the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals who share the same passion and dedication for the industry.

3. What is your role at SHEIN and what does your typical work look like? 

My role at SHEIN as Business Administrator in the Dublin office involves identifying areas of wastage and implementing measures to improve efficiency, overseeing day-to-day operations, liaising with stakeholders, and improving business programs and policies with guidance from HR. My main responsibility is facilitating and optimizing SHEIN's business activities. This includes overseeing and analyzing daily operations, approving purchases and expenditures, managing the budget, harmonizing organizational activities, and supporting the Head of HR with signing requests.

4. What do you think is the most important quality to make the impossible possible?

In my opinion, the most important quality to make the impossible possible is perseverance. Perseverance enables individuals to maintain a positive mindset, even in the face of adversity. It helps to stay focused, motivated, and committed to finding solutions and making progress, no matter how difficult the situation may be. It involves a willingness to learn from failures, adjust and keep moving forward despite setbacks or initial failures.

I'm particularly excited about the career development and growth opportunities that SHEIN's future holds. There's a strong potential for employees to embark on a rewarding professional journey within the organization. In one word, SHEIN's team is diverse. The reason is that diversity within the team brings together individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and educational backgrounds, which enhances the team's ability to approach challenges from different angles.
