Meet Zach! Our pun-loving, exceptionally witty, meme-appreciating, unofficial 3rd member of the social media team. Zach helps brands reach our members through sponsorships and partnerships to help improve our member experience. We are so grateful to have a creative mind like Zach on the team and we look forward to the day he establishes a jet ski sponsorship for one of our future company retreats 👀.

Tell us about you! Holding it down in the always-interesting Sunshine State. My wife and I spend our time keeping up with our eight-year-old daughter, belly-scratchin’ our chocolate lab, and wondering how our newest addition—PomPom the hamster—can make so much noise.

I’d consider myself somewhat of a hobby sampler (looking at you disc golf and carpentry and writing and brewing and video editing and…) but have managed to stick with CrossFit and OCR for a while now. Even picked up yoga thanks to a coworker here at SCF. Namaste, y’all.

My latest fascination has been small business acquisition and BizBuySell has replaced Zillow as my scroll of choice. Anybody want to go in on a laundromat together?

What does a Partnerships and Advertising Manager do anyway? This is a great question and I’m eager to learn the answer! The truth is, no two days are alike and my role evolves alongside our company.

On the advertising front, things are a little more straightforward. I help brands connect with our members through email and newsletter sponsorship as well as custom programming like contests and giveaways.

Partnerships, on the other hand, have a bit of a different vibe. Identifying and engaging with partner companies that can improve our member experience—or put our magic to good use—are all conversations that I’d like to have. It’s a bit like a dance floor and everybody has their go-to moves. My job is to find the Jennifer Grey to our Patrick Swayze.

What's your favorite thing about your role here at SCF? Far and away, it’s the freedom to be myself each and every day. We have this empowering culture that helps me find success as my truest personal and professional self. Does this mean an abhorrent volume of New Balance 624 level dad jokes? Yes. Yes it does. But SCF is somehow here for it and that makes each day that much better for me.

You just launched a brand new product offering for Scott’s Cheap Flights! Tell us about that process and what excites you the most about it? Hoowee am I excited to be debuting SCF as a Perk. Our members often tell us that our deals are a hot topic with coworkers (shoutout to those of you pushing SCF slack channels!) and travel perks in general just make sense when thinking about employee wellness. We’re now enabling companies with bulk SCF memberships so their employees can see more of the world for less, coming back to work recharged and inspired (and ready for that next great deal).

So go ahead and drop those not-so-subtle hints in your next meeting. Your SCF membership could be company-provided!

What's kept you here for 4 years? I’m extremely fortunate to have been surrounded by talented and v cool coworkers my entire career, with companies, clients, and partners that I admire and respect. But the team, mission, members, and culture here at SCF are just different. Will I likely leave at some point to start a fast-casual meatloaf concept called “Loafers” that offers full-sized, nutritious meals at bite-sized prices and quickly sweeps the nation with it’s rectangular-prismed wholesomeness? Of course. But the joy I get from working here keeps kicking that loaf pan down the road.

What's the best SCF deal you've ever booked? $325 RT MCO-CDG for eight of us, bags included! A friendfam trip that we’ll never forget. I do have runner up: $225 RT to Lima this month. Can’t wait!

Do you have any hidden talents? I’m able to muster up unbridled hope and optimism every offseason even though I am a Miami Dolphins fan and heartbreak will certainly follow. This is our year!
