The mini-blog: What your customers are really thinking.

I love this old McGraw-Hill ad sales poster, it really is just so true.

I can picture the account directors opening:
“Hello, I'm so sorry to bother you, is this a good time ...?"

And then you can almost hear the wheels start turning ...:

I don’t know who you are.

I don’t know your company.

I don’t know your company’s product.

I don’t know what your company stands for.

I don’t know your company’s customers.

I don’t know your company’s record.

I don’t know your company’s reputation.

Now – what was it you wanted to sell me?

Its uncanny but you can actually feel the tension rise as you read down the list.
