More than half a million gallons of stormwater overflow Monday

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - More stormwater mixed with sewer water overflowed into Baltimore's waterways after the downpours on Monday.

About 592,000 gallons spilled into city waterways, reported the Department of Public Works on Thursday.

The largest overflow happened at 1901 Falls Road, where 208,000 gallons spilled.

Last month, the city saw a record 85 million gallons overflow into waterways after many days of severe rain.

Overflows are built into the city's infrastructure, which is being phased out as part of a consent decree.
