Moving on! Thank you Veritas

A few weeks ago Veritas and I ended an almost 17 years relationship. Many of the friends that were part of that incredible ride are no longer in the company, so I wanted to share here my goodbye email. I also want to appreciate the help and support of customers and partners during all this time. Now is time to charge batteries, go deeper into new technology trends, spend time with family, and look for what will be my next challenge in my career.

"Today is my last day at Veritas after 16 years and 8 months. It has been an incredible ride and I am very thankful for that. During this time, I got married, got two kids and forged life time friendships. Veritas has been an amazing company to work with and it allowed me to growth as a person and a professional. Going through Consulting, Support and Product Management gave me the opportunity to work with incredible talented people. I enjoined each of my iterations with each of you and I learned so much during all this time.

I am leaving with the feeling that I have given a lot to this company but at the same time, every effort I made was returned back twice. That is a key concept for me in life. You must give first and good things will happen later. A lot of good things happen to me while being here.

Giving is important for Veritas people and I wanted to use this last email to promote a very unique way to give, which is stem cell donation. With a very simple act you can save lives or at least give more time to people. You have something very unique that other people may need. That is something money cannot buy. Because a personal experience, I made a video a couple of years ago to promote stem cell donation here in Spain. I apologize the video is just in Spanish, but this is your opportunity to start learning a new language!
