My New Blog - Scotch and a Leather Chair

Friends and colleagues,

I'm excited to share my new blog, Scotch and a Leather Chair (scotchandaleatherchair.tumblr.com)

The basic premise is to create a digital “study” or personal library where you can explore the books I’ve read, pull them off the "shelf" and leaf through the pages I’ve earmarked and highlighted. I have a pretty sizable collection of e-books that have been thoroughly highlighted, and I’m looking forward to creating a forum to share them with you.

I hope this blog introduces you to a few interesting books, and maybe you’ll choose to pick up some that you haven’t yet read to fill in the spaces between my highlights.

I would LOVE for this digital bookshelf to catalyze conversations with me - reach out and let me know your thoughts, especially if we haven't caught up in awhile! And be sure to include comments directly in the posts when you feel so inspired.

The first seven posts are up, including an intro to the concept, a post on Give and Take by Adam Grant, a four-part series on science-related topics and the first book in the next section on business topics, The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz.

I'll be updating frequently and adding new books in the coming weeks and months, stay tuned! I hope you enjoy

One love,

B

Never read it, but I've been a big proponent of the main lesson in Give and Take especially since moving to D.C. Just bought it based on your post

Thanks Jason Aversano! Hope all is well with you. Two new posts have been added since the last update, rounding out the first business section - Zero to One by Peter Thiel and The Innovators by Walter Isaacson. Check 'em out! :)
