My New Job: Finding you one

My New Job: Finding you one

My new job is crazy and I love it. It's new, it's exciting, and it's adventurous feeling. I have days when I get stressed out, not because my job sucks, but because I'm new and I'm having to figure out a whole new way of doing things.

However, I like where I work. We are encouraged to work hard, but enjoy where we are. We have good benefits, The pay is good, and the people are cool. I spend all day long on the phone and online talking to  IT people about networking, security, UC, UX/UI, and all types of nerdy stuff which fits my personality perfect. It's technical, it's ever-changing, and every situation is different.

I live where most people vacation. You can't hate on Durango, CO. It's one of the most beautiful places in the world. There's a river that flows through town with the bike trail that goes up and down the whole thing. Almost everything that you can think of doing recreationally can be done within about 30 to 45 minutes. It's in the middle of the mountains. It's small, laid-back, and there's lots to do.... To say the least, I'm happy here.

Which brings me to my point.

Not everybody loves the mountains. Some people prefer warm weather and would rather be at the beach. Some people hate talking on the phone or would prefer to be in a large city. Some people would rather be outside and don't want to be in an office period.

So let me introduce myself...

My name is Mikel Carter and I am a Headhunter... (or "Tech Recruiter," which clearly doesn't sound nearly as cool). It is my job to find out what people want out of their careers and get it for them.

So, if you are in IT/Telecom and would like to move somewhere else, make more money, need more room for growth, or simply just want a change in your daily routine, shoot me a copy of your resume and let's talk about you want to accomplish. Knowledge is power and my team knows where the jobs are and how to get you them.
