Today, it is my pleasure to announce that I am seizing an exciting opportunity that I could not pass up. I am joining Terremoto Biosciences as its chief executive officer. This decision was driven by the company’s compelling science and innovative approach for developing and advancing groundbreaking medicines for patients with devastating diseases. This marks a continuation of my lifelong passion for the discovery and development of creating effective therapies that extend and improve the lives of people with devastating diseases.

From the moment I learned about Terremoto (a name derived from the Latin word for “earthquake”), I was captivated by the scientific underpinnings of its programs and its potential to advance groundbreaking medicines. This, coupled with the dynamic team of “earth shakers” at Terremoto, made my decision to join them on this great journey easy.

I had the pleasure of meeting with many team members at Terremoto before deciding to join the company. The atmosphere and culture are focused on advancing excellent science to improve the lives of patients. The team is comprised of an energetic and seasoned group of professionals poised to develop best-in-class therapies against known drug targets and first-in-class therapies against high-value, previously undrugged targets in oncology and beyond.

I aspire to continue building the culture here to empower everyone because they are an integral part of a greater cause and every contribution is a step toward better patient outcomes. Reflecting on my career, the assurance that doing the best science and development leads to meaningful results motivates me deeply. Our legacy will be measured by the number of patients who benefit from the therapies we develop, because it’s the tangible improvements we make in people’s lives that I find most rewarding. I cherish this knowledge that I have and will contribute to these advancements, and I aspire to help everyone at Terremoto to feel the same.
