The mystery called certification….
Certified XXXXXX Consultant, “How often, have you come across this keyword?”
I have heard it numerous times where people highlight this during discussions and interviews. (Many portray certification as achievement)
People keep asking, what is the best certification that I could opt for? (They even attempt courses that is not relevant for their profile)
Sleepless nights, cheat books, dummies, heavy investment, mock-ups, training, examinations, results and finally the post certification period.
I have always wondered, what is the need for certification? Do they really add value? Today, training and certification, is a big industry. But, does certifications worth the money and time spent?
Have come across so called certified resources, but never got the impression that certification leads to knowledge.
On any day, I prefer the depth of knowledge that a candidate has acquired on his chosen subject, rather than looking at his certification.
