In This New Normal, Count Your Blessings!

In This New Normal, Count Your Blessings!

The whole world is in lockdown right now, some stricter than others and it’s the new normal.

Being confined for many months does impact our mental health, regardless of our mental status prior to the lockdown.

One of the things that helped me keep my moral uplifted is gratitude.

When all your work is around a PC, a phone and a camera, anything slightly negative can become a full-blown drama.

So, I decided today to count my professional blessings – take time to count yours, it’d help you too.

I’m grateful –

  • I work for a company that cares of its employee – whether with meaningful sessions on mindfulness, leadership or work life balance, our HR has been supporting us and present with us throughout the journey. Sessions conducted daily for anyone to join, including DJ parties!
  • I have wonderful colleagues – we keep each other motivated, uplift each other’s mood. With virtual coffee chats, songs and meditation, we are in it together and we built our work support system
  • I have great mentors – they’re even more indispensable now than ever before. My mentors keep me focused on the right track. They recalibrate my compass when my mind wonders in the negative arena
  • I love my job! My purpose in life is to be at the service of others and help others be successful. They can be my customers, my teams, my bosses or my family and friends. Working in customer success meets perfectly my purpose and keeps me excited to work everyday

And the list goes on.

Taking the habit of daily gratitude changed my life perspective. We have so much to be grateful for, we just take them for granted

Take few minutes, appreciate your blessings and smile :-).

Imane Jamal Eddine I am honored to feel that somehow I can be part of your blessings helping you keep focused on the right track and incentivating to recalibrate your compass... but let me tell you ...this does no happen because of me, this is because you! I 😊

Totally agree Imane! I'm so blessed too, I remember our first meeting a year ago, having a great conversation during my interview with you. I'd like to thank you for being an inspiration and you have definitely made a difference in my life. Always stay positive! ", ) I started using this mobile app about a month ago "Presently" from Playstore to help me keep track of my daily gratitude journal :)
