November Events You Might Be Interested In!
This month there are plenty of events to attend. Whether its art or music, food and wine, or even theatre, this month has something going on for you! Here are just some of the events going on in the Buffalo area at the start of this month!
Buffalo City Hall Tours
Buffalo City Hall offers tours of the space Monday through Friday, at noon! You can check out the architecture and murals there on a guided 1hr tour of the building, and did I mention its free?!
Clifford Prince King and Ryan Patrick Krueger: keep a place for me
The opening reception will be Friday, November 3rd, from 5PM - 9PM, and on Saturday, November 4th the artists will be there to discuss their work at 11 AM. Access to the event is also free!
First Friday Wine Class at the Freedom Run Winery
This Friday, Nov. 3 learn about wine from our incredible winemaking team, Ryan Sidoti and Kurt Guba. Wine Club members save $10! Event runs from 7PM - 9PM. First Fridays at the AKG
This Friday, November 3rd, stop by the Buffalo AKG Museum for interactive art events and activities including tours, live music, talks and more based on the exhibitions! Admission to the Jeffrey E. Gundlach and Robert and Elisabeth Wilmers Buildings is Pay-What-You-Wish. Admission to the Seymour H. Knox Building is always free.
On the Verge
In this performance, three Victorian lady travelers take it upon themselves to discover the mystery of things as they set out for Terra Incognita and discover the future. Created by Eric Overmyer and Directed by Bella Poynton, the show will run on November 3, 2023, November 4, 2023, November 9, 2023, November 10, 2023 from 8PM - 10PM, and November 11, 2023 from 2PM - 4PM. Sister Act
Starring Buffalo is thrilled to open its fifth season at Shea’s 710 Theater with SISTER ACT, featuring original songs by Disney’s Alan Menken (Little Mermaid, Aladdin). When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found: a convent! The show runs 2 hours and 15 minutes with one intermission, and is performed on Nov. 3rd at 7:30PM and November 4th at 2PM and 7:30PM. Tickets can be bought online.

Open through December 29 at the Arcangel Gallery,Aleah Ford, known as "Moth On The Wall," invites you to experience the enchanting realm of these ephemeral creatures through her meticulously crafted works. In this exhibition, Aleah's sculptures come to life using textiles, wire, faux fur, clay, and flocking. The sculptures are presented within shadow boxes, reminiscent of Victorian curiosity cabinets, inviting viewers to step back in time to an era of exploration and discovery.
Blue Monday
Chicago Jack and the Heptones play with weekly Special Guests. Join us in the Grand Room in the lower level of the Tacoma Performing Arts Center (T-PAC). There is no admission fee for Blue Monday, and we have a full service kitchen and bar. Stained Glass Association of America Presents: Judith Schaechter
On 11/08 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and in partnership with the Stained Glass Association of America, the Buffalo History Museum welcomes artist Judith Schaechter. Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Schaechter has worked professionally as a stained glass artist. Join us as she discusses her work and the innovative approach she takes in creating her pieces both technically and artistically.
All My Sons by Arthur Miller
The play will be showing from Nov. 9th - Dec. 10th. Considered one of the true landmark plays of the 20th century, All My Sons is set two years after the end of World War II. Successful businessman Joe Keller reckons with things he did to survive during the conflict, whilst he and his family come to terms with the loss of a son. The play runs 2 hours 15 minutes including an intermission. Tickets can be bought online.
Runaway Grooms at Buffalo Iron Works
Playing at Buffalo Iron Works on Nov. 9th, doors open at 7PM and the show starts at 8PM. Much like the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, and the Grateful Dead, The Runaway Grooms paint a spacious soundscape that expands in ever-widening circles, inviting us into warm, enveloping musical landscapes that traverse jazz, rock, and folk. Their newest album, This Road, captures the energy that the Colorado-based band brings to live performances, each song stretching out along a path filled with melodious meanderings and percussive pathways that dance around a central musical theme. Tickets can be bought in advance for $12 or on the day of the show for $15.

On November 11, 2023, from 4:30PM to 11:30PM come on down to the Town Ballroom. For ages 16+ (with ID). Tickets cost $25 – $35. Doors open at 4:30pm.

Veterans Day | Free Botanical Gardens Admission
On November 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM, veterans get in free with ID (on site tickets only).Included with admission is the annual Orchid Show! See dozens of hand-picked and award-winning orchid exhibits from the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society. Thank you to all veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces!
