Oliver Cock brings over 30 years experience across the food, drink, hospitality and retail sectors to the world’s leading scientific traceability company, Oritain.

From Head of Procurement at Diageo to Managing Director of Foodbuy, Oliver has amassed an array of experience and accolades: in 2018, he was selected in CIPS inaugural Procurement Powerlist; from 2014-2018, he lead the launch and growth of Foodbuy in the UK; he successfully transformed the Brand Deployment division of Communisis between 2019 and 2021; and has since launched his own consulting company, Zircon, specialising in Ethical Sustainable Transformation.

Uniting this breadth and depth of experience is an underlying principle that has ingrained itself in Oliver over the years: profitability and purpose are intrinsically linked—and both are essential for the betterment of our planet.

Having started out as Oritain’s first UK customer whilst at Compass/Foodbuy, Oliver now joins the world’s leading scientific traceability company as Global Commercial Director. There, he will help Oritain’s partners—new and current—implement or continue their ethical sustainable transformation using Oritain’s scientific traceability.

Oritain’s scientific traceability tests products and raw materials to verify their origin. In doing so, companies can finally have complete trust in the authenticity of their supply chain and that their products and raw materials come from the sustainable and ethical regions they source them from.

With this assurance, companies can be confident their supply chain is free of social, animal or environmental malpractice and can communicate sustainability credentials to customers.

It is a mission that aligns closely to Oliver’s own: “I set up Zircon because I wanted to focus on driving sustainability and supply chain integrity. When Oritain approached me, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with a real innovator and global leader in this space.
