Our DNA: The Core Values That Define Us

Our DNA: The Core Values That Define Us

We believe that a company’s values are not something that can be brainstormed by a bunch of people in a boardroom. They are a byproduct of the values that flow naturally from the founding members, along with the maturity a firm gains over time.

Over the past 12 years, we never actually sat down to discuss our values. Yet, if we were to reflect, these are the values that shape the way we do things.

Innovation

The launch of the iPad was revolutionary, but we wanted to take it one step further. We envisioned the iPad as a tech-enabled notebook. This led us to build an app that would allow people to take notes on an iPad just as they would on paper.

We worked shoulder-to-shoulder with a lot of 3rd party stylus developers to perfect our handwriting technology way before the launch of the Apple Pencil.

This made us one of the first apps to enter the iPad App Store, and eventually we became a leading note-taking app.

Technology Focused

We wouldn’t be Fluid Touch without technology.

Our journey began with our founders’ love for the latest technology, and they constantly explore new ways of integrating new technology into their work. Our first app, Daily Notes, was built just as a hobby!

With a vision to use technology to make their own lives easier and more convenient, Daily Notes was a replica of our founder's real-life diary! From our humble beginnings, we have been able to evolve into one of the most critically acclaimed note-taking and productivity apps.

We are captivated by the limitless possibilities of technology and as tech geeks how we could harness its potential. The incorporation of the most advanced technology and innovative thinking has been the key to our success thus far.

Highly User Friendly

When we began developing our apps, it was our personal needs and use cases that led to new features being added. A feature request from our users, if pressing enough, would also get incorporated.

But, in the long run, this didn’t seem like a viable solution. We redirected our focus toward our users’ needs to help deliver the best possible experience to them. Soon, UX took center stage in every decision we make.

Now everyone at Fluid Touch is an advocate for UX. We use our apps for our daily note-taking and have regular discussions about our thoughts on the app as well. We have built our apps for our users, thus, it is our responsibility to make sure they get the best experience possible.

To Conclude

Our experience has taught us that company values are inspired by the values its founders hold dear. Combined with the values a company imbibes over time, they have the ability to make a company stronger.

These values infuse into a company’s roots, becoming an integral part of its DNA and its identity. As a company evolves, we believe it is important to reassess and realign these values to make sure they stay relevant.
