Our evidence for Parliament: women in the armed forces

The Government has launched an Inquiry into the life of servicewomen in our armed forces.

We at Bolt Burdon Kemp have submitted evidence on behalf of our clients, which is sobering and thought-provoking. Harassment in the military is a feature in the lives of many servicewomen, and has been for some time.

I have been inspired by the stories of our clients, all servicewomen, all talented, able and intelligent, whose careers and lives have been destroyed by sexual harassment and discrimination. They have been let down by a service complaints system that is not fit for purpose, and a culture which struggles to change. They are courageous and deserve better.

Someone needs to own this problem and solve it.
