Patrick Bet-David Influenced this Edition

Hello, thanks for your support. In more ways than one, you're truly why this newsletter still floats but I took a cue from Patrick Bet-David who said in a recent YouTube video that his team takes a break after they reach a milestone to prepare for the next.

I took a break to learn how this newsletter can grow and share more meaningful content with you. And I've made some progress. So, I will be hosting and sharing summaries from our podcast which now has guest appearances. We hope to improve on this too.

New Podcast Episodes

This week we released the first two episodes of conversations I am hosting about, well, matters of growth.

What do Praying and Teaching have in Common?

On Monday, my friend GIFT KENNETH and I chatted about her inspiring journey in special needs education. Onyinye began her career with a successful stint as a mainstream teacher but felt unfulfilled. That changed when a family friend referred her to a special needs firm, and she met her first client. Now, she thrives as a therapist working one-on-one with children with special needs, helping them build confidence and independent skills.

Onyinye emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships with her clients (the term she uses for her students). She believes one-on-one relationships are crucial for the child’s progress and the educator’s fulfillment. She shares that seeing even the smallest sign of progress in her clients powerfully nudges her forward.

She also discusses the challenges in the field. Working with children with various learning and developmental disabilities like autism, down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, and ADHD can be challenging, especially if therapy begins late. She encourages other teachers to adopt prayerful retrospection and collaboration.

But with a twist, how do Nigerians who relocate abroad cope with the new life? From glitters to shivers, they tell their stories honestly and hopefully.
