possibility of dyeing CVC fabric without pretreatment.
Is it possible Dyeing of CVC fabric without pretreatment?
Many researchers are working on this topic. There is a great possibility to do this. Here I slightly discuss the possibilities.
In general, pretreatment means bleaching and scouring. Bleaching is worked for removing natural color from cotton fabric.
In case of very light shade or white fabric, bleaching is mandatory. Otherwise, in case deep shade (>2% ) and colored fabric bleaching aren't necessary. In case of 1.5%, shade bleaching may not necessary.
Scouring is worked for removing impurities i.e increasing absorption. In case, of course count yarn caustic soda (NaOH) is mandatory. But in case of, fine grade cotton, caustic soda (NaOH) might less necessary. Here detergent or wetting agent is used for increasing the absorbency instead of NaOH.
And when we dyeing CVC fabric for 1 hour, minimum absorption will occur here.
Objectives of this thesis-
To save chemicals
To improve physical properties of CVC fabric
To reduce dyeing processing steps
To denote minimum shade percentage
To reduce processing cost
To reduce usage of water
To produce eco-friendly dyeing process
Such as, we want to produce 1% red color shade. If we avoid the pretreatment process, we may use 0.998% red color and rest of 0.002% color come from gray cotton fabric.
