Firewall Care: The ultrafast exchange service for Barracuda NG Firewalls
One year ago, Kappa Data invested heavily in the Barracuda NG firewall platform. The Barracuda NG Firewalls offer supreme next generation features in the firewall protection landscape, including Advanced Threat Detection and easy management through the NG Firewall Control Center. The Control Center is a flexible solution as it can be organized for both local and remote installations.
Today, this unique combination of features provides Enterprise and SMB environments with the most competitive and advanced solutions for Firewall protection in the market. The Barracuda NG Firewall competes with the world’s most advanced firewalls.
For Kappa Data it started with the launch of a licensing model for the Barracuda NG Firewall Control Center. Through an Administrator tool, the BENELUX market resellers needn’t invest in the heavy start-up costs of the Control Center installation anymore and Kappa Data’s first Managed Service is a fact.
Going forward, today Kappa Data launches its newest service in the Managed Services Portfolio: Firewall Care. This speedy replacement service comes in the picture at times when hardware defects. When this happens, Kappa Data provides the customer with a brand new device, which can either be picked-up by the client, or delivered the next business day at any postal address in the BENELUX.
Special to this device is the plug ’n play configuration: the new device will be pre-populated with the latest firmware and the customer’s professional firewall configuration, allowing for the device to be installed in a quick and easy way. This averts the need of an external intervention as the client can simply install the device himself. On top, the device can remain at the client’s site, a double win in time!
Existing Control Center users can easily subscribe to the Firewall Care Service at any time and at attractive pro-rata rates.
Kappa Data expands its Managed Services Portfolio with Firewall Care and hence invests in it’s resellers. In line with the Kappa Data philosophy, this is done with respect to the reseller’s business as the sales model foresees in a margin for partners who offer Firewall Care to their customers.
