The Print & Apply Station (VM2900) is a standalone module designed for in-line automatic bottle and carton-to-bundle aggregation, optimizing the packaging process with precision and efficiency. This advanced station completes the aggregation process by mechanically handling packaged units, generating labels, applying them to each bundle, and verifying the operation. It supports flat application of labels on three sides (machine, operator, top), ensuring comprehensive coverage and traceability .

The VM2900’s outfeed group layout can be configured to suit two-line directions: linear or 90 degrees on the operator side, providing flexibility to match different production setups. Similarly, the rejection system can be adjusted for linear or 90-degree configurations, ensuring smooth and adaptable operations. The single HMI interface simplifies operations and recipe management, allowing for easy adjustments and control .

This versatile station can perform full aggregation of bottles or cartons to bundles, thanks to its dedicated camera system that reads all item codes to generate aggregation. The labelling/camera unit then prints, applies, and verifies the aggregation label on the container. In cases where a full code reading of the bundle is not feasible, the VM2900 works in tandem with an upstream bundling machine to handle labelling only.

The VM2900 accommodates standard bundle/case sizes ranging from 50-300 mm in length (A), 15-250 mm in width (B), and 45-300 mm in height (C), with a working height adjustable between 800-1000 mm. Machine configurations can be tailored to match specific format sizes, providing a customized solution for diverse packaging needs.
