Q&A: What does the future of advertising look like?
So...I wrote a book about the end of advertising, conveniently called The End of Advertising. A few people had questions. My answers are below. Please feel free to keep the questions coming.

A: There are already a bunch of cool Jetsons's style mock-ups floating around out there. The central assumption is that you won't be driving, that you won't be allowed to drive, so you're either looking out the window or at a screen, which is likely via the window shield or roof. What are you looking at? The same stuff you watch on any other screen: entertainment, news, services and utility. The question is who owns the pipe that gets your there and what if any content will be proprietary to your vehicle.
Asked by Sara Weber
A: I have the feeling that the Super Bowl will never change. It's like death, taxes, car alarms and racist team names. But everything else will. And so we'll come to take comfort in the big game's ridiculously anachronistic resistance to change, because it will makes us feel nostalgic.
Asked by Farah A.
A: Depends what you mean by agency: a app could certainly buy programatic media, but there's no way it will ever daydream.

6yHow do you think the need for real time media (Facebook live style) will change advertising? Sometimes it takes a while to develop a campaign yet people are wanting information as things happen. Do you think the window of relevancy is decreasing?
