Samsung Ads, announced today that it has expanded into Southeast Asia to enable native advertising solutions across millions of Samsung-powered Smart TVs. Samsung Ads is now operating in the following Southeast Asia countries:
➡️ Indonesia
➡️ Malaysia
➡️ Philippines
➡️ Singapore
➡️ Thailand
➡️ Vietnam
Alex Spurzem, in his newly appointed role as Managing Director, ANZ and SEA, says “Connected TV penetration is above 50 percent in several key markets across Southeast Asia. By bringing our native advertising solutions to market, brands and advertisers can now reach households as soon as they turn their TV on.” Read more here.

2023 MEDIAWEEK 100 POWER LIST: Alex Spurzem, Samsung Ads
Congratulations to Alex Spurzem, General Manager of Samsung Ads ANZ, who is new to Mediaweek Australia's 100 Power List. The annual list of Australia’s top 100 media executives, highlights the individuals who control the direction of the most influential media companies in Australia.
Alex set up the Australia arm of the business back in 2020, and opened up doors in Surry Hills before expanding the business into new territories and services including the announcement of DOOH in Australia earlier this year.
Over the coming years FAST will grow quickest outside of the US and according to Omdia by 2027, the US FAST channel market will exceed $12bn in revenue. Three of the five largest individual FAST markets in 2027 will be English-speaking nations including Australia.
