Second-Hand Smart Phones Are Gradually Being Accepted, In 2020 The Market Size Of Up To 30 Billion US Dollars

According to IDC, the market for second-hand and refurbished smartphones will grow significantly in 2020, when there will be many people using second-hand smartphones. In the United States, most mobile operators, handset manufacturers and retailers have provided trade-in services in Europe and Asia, this strategy is slowly becoming mainstream.


The advantages of second-hand mobile phones are: as refurbished equipment, their price is much lower than the new product. Apple and other companies and even open up sales of refurbished products area, rumors said that Samsung will also sell refurbished equipment.


Not only that, in the United States, second-hand smart phone market growth is also very fast. Swappa or eBay and other sites are flooded with a large number of second-hand Android and iOS devices, the price is only a fraction of the original price.If people not winning to repair their broken smartphone, but just buy a second hand one, for repair industry this not a good news.Maybe it is time for repair shop to do use some refurbish material and offer this second hand service too.


Allegedly, this trend will continue into 2020: 2015, second-hand mobile phone sales of 81.3 million by 2020, this figure will rise to 222.6 million, the average annual compound growth rate of 22.3%. In 2020, 222.26 million second-hand mobile phone sales, North America is expected to account for 55.2 million in 2015 this figure is 15.2 million.


IDC research shows that in 2020 the average price of second-hand mobile phone 136 US dollars, the market size will reach 30 billion US dollars.
