"The Secret to Living is Giving"- Tony Robbins

Ever since I could remember, I was always fundraising for a charity or volunteering with children.

Whether it was being a volunteer cheerleading coach for the Pop Warner Association or raising money during my reign at Miss Hawaii for The Children's Miracle Network, giving back to the community has always been important to me and it has truly given me happiness.

When our team joined Compass Real Estate, one of the first things that I loved about the company was the fact that they pledged to make a donation to any charity of my choice, upon closing a deal. Instead of choosing the charity that they wanted, they believed that it should be a personal decision.

I have personally pledged to match that and give a bit more to No Kid Hungry for every deal that I close, whether that is residential or commercial transactions.

Since I am a huge fan and follower of Tony Robbins, one of my favorite quotes from him is "The Secret to Living is Giving." Part of the reason why I focus so much on being the best in my industry is to be able to Bless others through charities and volunteering through New York Cares.

I know that I have been tremendously blessed in a multitude of ways and this is a part of how I can be a blessing unto others.
