SEVERAL FACEBOOK ADS TIPS FOR YOUR BIZ BASED ON A TRUE STORY
What kind of business isn’t dreaming of doubling, or tripling, or even 6.5X-ing its revenue fast? I don’t know such guys. I think, you do neither.
That’s why I believe it would be interesting for you to find out how it could be done.

Tip #1. Don’t underestimate creatives.
Many people think that 5-10 creatives variations would be enough and they’re not that important at all. Wait, wait, wait. They are essential for your engagement rates and for the effectiveness of a campaign in general. Creatives raise interest, attract attention, increase brand recognition, and sometimes even help you lower your CPM. So you’d better be ready with various videos, images, and texts.
We tested over 200 options within 3 months for our hair extensions client. And it did work!
Tip #2. Nail that targeting.
I’m sure you know how important it is to target the right audiences. The question is, how to find them. The answer is - testing, testing, and testing.
In our client’s case, they already had custom audiences before starting to work with us, but no LLAs. So we created lookalikes, 7 saved audiences (from 500k to 3 million users), and were testing them during the first month. We were also constantly testing and running divided LLAs from 1% to 10% for all major events (PageView, ViewContent, Add to Cart, Initiate Checkout, Add Payment Info, Purchase). Also, LLAs were tested on Top 5%, 10%, 25% Spent Time, and there were LLAs for those who purchased for more than $150, and who bought 2 or more items.
Tip #3. Don’t be afraid of retargeting and use DPA.
Most companies have problems with abandoned carts and users not returning to their site. It may happen if retargeting isn’t working properly or doesn’t work at all. Exactly as it was in our client’s case. In addition to that, they didn’t use custom audiences.
So first of all we’ve created all major events (PageView, ViewContent, Add to Cart, Initiate Checkout, Add Payment Info, Purchase) for the last 7-14-21-28 days. Then we adjusted creatives and offers specifically for the retargeting campaign. We launched retargeting for 7-14-21-28 days with the substitution of creatives for each time period. And the same approach was used in DPA campaigns.
This approach simply SKYROCKETED ROAS to more than 20 and in some cases even to more than 30!
To tell you the truth, 30%-40% of the total ad budget was spent on retargeting. So never neglect it, that’s my advice.
Tip #4. Scale wisely.
Don’t be afraid of using CBO, it can be a great aid in scaling your store!
With our hair extensions client, we used CBO because it allows to scale the entire campaign without sending all the ad sets to the learning phase. This way you have a possibility to increase budgets by 100%-200% not having a big drop of ROAS. Particularly with this client, we were increasing budget by 50%-200% every several days. Our main rule was the following: if metrics get worse by less than 10%, we keep on increasing budget. But if metrics get worse by more than 10%, we leave it as it is.
Just to sum it up, I can tell you that having used all the mentioned tips, we’ve managed to increase hair extensions company’s ROAS from 2.3 to 13.6, and even to 30 in some campaigns! They made 10500 sales for more than $2 400 000. Their revenue increased 6.5X. Their turnover surged from $300k to $2.4 MLN. And all this JUST FOR 3 MONTHS.
