SNOMED CT clinical webinar - Epilepsy
SNOMED International and the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) would like to welcome all clinicians to the following free clinical webinar.
Epilepsy is a group of disorders characterised by the tendency to have recurrent seizures. The International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) serves as the premier international resource for current and emerging standards and best practice in epilepsy care. SNOMED International and ILAE have partnered to enhance the content related to epilepsy and seizures in SNOMED CT to ensure clinicians have the latest evidence-based content available to them for point of care recording.
Over the last 112 years the ILAE has strived to provide definitions for key concepts and classification schemes for epilepsy. They aim is to provide clear terminology which will enable improvements and advancement in epilepsy care, resource allocation and research. In 2017, the ILAE published position statements with revised terminology and concepts based on available evidence. In this clinical webinar Professor Lynette Sadleir will outline the new ILAE seizure and epilepsy classifications. She will also demonstrate how these are implemented in practice using case examples.
