Sony shows off Xperia 1 II pro camera features

The Xperia 1 II has been released in Japan, but details on when the smartphone will arrive in the US and Europe are still unknown. In the meantime, Sony has been drumming up hype by posting a series of videos focused on the features of the pro camera applications. The first series focused on photography while the latter, more recent videos focus on cinematography.

The videos are terse but give fairly detailed examples of the layout and features of the Photography Pro and Cinema Pro camera applications. Features such as adjustable rack focus, "Look" management, and the ability to capture clips as part of a project folder for better organization are just some of the elements the videos touch on. Watching them is enough to bolster even more anticipation for the Xperia 1 II, particularly for content creators. But a high price tag could quickly dull that excitement and pricing the smartphone at $1200 could make it a tough sell for many right now.
