Spiro Champions Electric Vehicle Policy Advocacy in Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya – [Date] – In light of the recent unveiling by Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Roads & Transport, Kipchumba Murkomen , of the Draft National Electric Mobility Policy, SPIRO , a leader in the electric vehicle (EV) space in Africa, applauds the government's progressive steps toward embracing electric mobility. The initiative detailed by Cabinet Secretary Murkomen highlights the vast benefits of transitioning to electric vehicles, including significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, a decrease in the national petroleum import bill, and fostering local manufacturing and job creation.
Spiro's advocacy strategy is deeply rooted in proactive engagement with government and policymakers to develop a comprehensive framework that facilitates the transition to electric mobility across Kenya. This approach has positioned Spiro as a key contributor to the dialogue on sustainable transportation solutions that benefit both the environment and the economy.
The collaboration between Spiro, the Electric Vehicle Transformation Taskforce (EVTF), and the Kenyan government has paved the way for a policy framework that is poised to accelerate the adoption of EVs within the country. 7moHello Manager E Moto in Africa I understand that you are a Start and have raised funds to launch Electric Motorcycle Taxis in Kenya & Togo & Benin ETC. We want to launch the same in Cameroon. I don't really understand the business plan because: E Solid motorcycles 3 to 4 More expensive. Much lower autonomy and which will drop quickly with loss of battery performance, especially Lithium made in India. Battery life approximately 2 years in real life and 1000 Cycles. What can you suggest ? We are ready to invest if profitable.
