Supporting the next generation

Supporting the next generation

At BQF we are passionate about developing young talent and supporting the younger generation.

Every summer we host a range of students from Portsmouth University who are completing their MSCs in Digital Business Management, as well as taking on work experience placements.

As recognition for their exceptional hard work and dedication, we would like to share the profiles of two of our stars from this summer.

Oluwatobi Ogunjimi CBAP®

Tobi came to us after deciding to enroll in the Digital Business Management MSC to build on her 3 years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst in the financial industry.

What she did for BQF: Tobi mapped our existing UK Excellence Awards process, warts and all, and designed us a brand-new process based on our customer and team feedback. She then researched and presented three options for a digital solution, one of which is now being implemented and will provide us with an enhanced customer experience as well as a reduced workload for the team.

How she did it: Tobi set to work interviewing all the stakeholders, recording every meeting so she could go back and examine the details. She worked quickly, efficiently and autonomously, understanding and adapting to feedback with minimal guidance. She was able to work with customers, suppliers and the team at all levels and produced outstanding results.

“Tobi has been incredible, she has come in and understood our needs and how to structure the work extremely quickly and really supported us in driving forward the UK Excellence Awards” Karen Leftley, BQF President

What’s next: Tobi will be completing her Masters in Digital Business Management in January and is looking for roles in business improvements and business analysis. Message emily.viarnaud@BQF.org.uk for a full copy of her CV.

Jai Kalia

Profile: Jai spent two weeks with BQF after finishing his A-levels.

What he did for BQF: During his time with BQF Jai researched and created a brilliant LinkedIn post for the UK Excellence Awards, detailing the story behind the London Hilton Bankside foxes, adding context and depth to the promotion of the event. He also got to grips with Green Envelope and designed the first draft of our Award invites.

How he did it: Jai was a pleasure to work with, consistently eager to learn and be involved; we are sure he will be an asset to any organisation once he is ready to enter the workforce.

What’s next: Jai is currently on a gap year after which is planning to study Business Management.

Well done Oluwatobi Ogunjimi CBAP®. I’m not surprised at the excellent reviews. You have always proven beyond reasonable doubt to be outstanding. I’m proud of you.
