Ecosphere, a social enterprise co-founded by Ishita Khanna, has been working for over two decades to empower villagers by creating sustainable livelihoods in the mountainous Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India. In our interview , Ishita shares how her organization supports sustainable regional development by building greenhouses, setting up homestays to generate extra income, reviving traditional art and craft to sell visitors, and more.
