The next few months and years will take on a different reality for not only students and schools but for every learner out there in the education and learning industry. As the world struggles with the vestiges of COVID-19 and its related significant drawbacks on not only the economy but the education industry, which is perhaps the most hard-hit in my opinion.

Consider these fact checks: Students are now suing their schools requesting for their money back because they're no longer receiving the services they paid for. This is according to an article in CNBC. In Latin America and the Caribbean, over 154 million children dropped out and over 1.5 billion children and youth are affected by the pandemic according to UNESCO and World Bank. The return rate is highly uncertain especially for low-income families and students in poor countries.

There's been a massive shift is the way education is received and perceived. The real challenge is that no one really knows where this is leading us to which poses a real danger for all stakeholders involved (and you're one of them).

Here are some of what's at stake framed in these questions:

• How will learning happen from now on?
• What will be the measure of quality education?
• As the nature and mode of work changes in the face of COVID-19
• How will it affect the education you go to school to get?
• How relevant is your method of learning to the new realities of the job market and economy?
• Is what you're learning still relevant? (You'd be surprised of what you'd see if you I showed you).
• As the nature and means of education takes on a different shape what will happen to traditional schools and their system of learning?
• Should you go back to class if the school reopens? (if it will ever normally open again).
