Teaching the Ukraine–Russia Crisis Through the Lens of School Subjects
As we try to make sense of the current situation in Ukraine, we have to remember that social studies teachers aren't the only ones who are solely equipped to help students make sense of this conflict. Every teacher in the building has the ability to bring this into the class to make it a teachable moment.
We have a responsibility to be informed in geopolitics, regardless of subject matter. While the United States' involvement is limited to providing resources, many of us have already been affected. You can help your students grapple with current events through the lens of your respective subject areas. These are just a few articles and/or videos that have shown up online and how you may be able to tie this into your existing curriculum.
