TechAfrica News: A New Era Begins with Our New Logo
After eight incredible years, TechAfrica News is proud to announce a significant change that marks a new chapter in our journey—a fresh, transformative logo that embodies our evolution and commitment to innovation. Our previous logo has been a symbol of our growth and success over the years, but as we continue to cover the diverse and dynamic future of Africa, we felt it was time for a modern update.
This new logo is not just a design change; it reflects the essence of who we are today—a diverse and forward-thinking team dedicated to highlighting Africa’s rapid transformation in the tech landscape. TechAfrica News is about modern and transformative Africa, the one that leads in innovation, not the one left behind. Our new logo represents this spirit of progress and collective growth, as we continue to cover the stories that matter in shaping Africa’s future and represent the young and diverse communities on the continent.
“As we step into this new era with our fresh new logo, we're not just rebranding— we're reaffirming our commitment to telling the stories of Africa and its journey to become a leader in innovation and transformation. This is just the beginning of our journey, so stay tuned for what is coming next!” - Akim Benamara, Founder & Chief Editor of TechAfrica News
After years of consistent growth, we're excited to celebrate a major milestone, becoming a thriving hub for engaged professionals. This isn’t just about numbers—it's about the community we've fostered in Africa and the relationships we've cultivated. In the coming weeks, we’re excited to introduce the relaunch of the TechAfrica News website, along with several new partnerships that will further enrich the conversation around digital transformation in Africa. The TechAfrica News Podcast
Over the past two years, we’ve travelled over 37,000 km across Africa and the Middle East, and conducted more than 135 interviews, featuring everyone from ministers to industry leaders and innovators, in both the public and private sectors, who are shaping Africa’s digital future. These discussions have provided valuable insights, but our 10-minute format often falls short of the depth these important topics and diverse opinions deserve.

That’s why we’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of the TechAfrica News Podcast - a platform that will offer exclusive, in-depth video interviews with key figures from both the public and private sectors. These extended conversations will explore the key trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping digital transformation across the continent. By sharing narratives from both the public and private sectors, we aim to provide diverse perspectives that can serve as a blueprint for future innovation, delivering the insights our audience has been craving.
“Your story is truly powerful when it's told by you. The new Africa must be narrated by Africans, for Africans. When TechAfrica News tells the story of Africa, it resonates deeply, because it's authentically told by us.” - Lacina Konè, CEO of Smart Africa
