Prof. Haluk Görgün, Secretary of Defense Industries, and General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, Commander of the Turkish Air Forces, and the accompanying delegation visited TEI's premises in Eskişehir. They were debriefed about the national projects, which are in progress, by Prof. Fahrettin Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEI, and Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, TEI's CEO.

TEKNOFEST Adana Hosted More Than 1 Million Visitors

TEKNOFEST Adana was held at Adana Şakirpaşa Airport between October 2-6 with 1.1 million visitors. During the event, the domestic and national engines TEI-TS1400, Türkiye's first national helicopter engine, TEI-PD170, the national turbodiesel aviation engine, a record breaker with its altitude capability and flight time, TEI-TF6000, Türkiye's first aircraft engine, TEI-TF10000, Türkiye's most powerful turbofan engine, and T700-TEI-701D, Türkiye's first domestic helicopter engine were all introduced to the visitors at the TEI's booth.

Demonstration flights were performed with the Bayraktar TB3 platform, powered by TEI-PD170, and with the T70 helicopters, powered by T700-TEI-701D at the air shows organized during the event.

The final of the Jet Engine Design Competition, executed by TEI, was held on September 5-8 at Antalya Anfaş International Expo and Convention Center before Teknofest Adana. The winners received their awards from the Honorable Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of the Republic of Türkiye, at TEKNOFEST Adana.

TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival, organized with the participation and support of TEI as every year, will be held in İstanbul and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 2025. 

TEI Attended SAHA EXPO 2024 with Türkiye's National Aviation Engines

TEI, Türkiye's leading aviation engines company, attended SAHA EXPO 2024, held at Istanbul Expo Center between October 22-26, with its national engines.

TEI showcased Türkiye's national aviation engines at SAHA EXPO, one of the major defense industry events in Türkiye. Having demonstrated Türkiye's progress in aviation engines and related activities in its fields of activity, TEI also introduced its services and products to the global aviation industry and seized new cooperation opportunities at the exhibition.

During the exhibition, TEI-TS1400, Türkiye's first national helicopter engine, TEI-PD170, Türkiye's first national turbodiesel aviation engine, a record breaker with its altitude capability and flight time, TEI-TF6000, Türkiye's first aircraft engine, and TEI-TF10000, Türkiye's most powerful turbofan engine, were exhibited at TEI's booth. TEI also introduced its capabilities in super alloys and advanced technology metals used in aviation engines to visitors.

A Significant Cooperation between SSB, EÜAŞ and TEI

The "Electricity Generation Turbines Maintenance, Repair, Logistics Support Project (EGTP) Agreement", one of the key protocols that provide the basis for the utilization of the defense industry ecosystem by other industries, is now executed and signed between the Secretariat of Defense Industries (SSB), the Electricity Generation Corporation (EÜAŞ) and TEI, on the first day of SAHA EXPO International Defence & Aerospace Exhibition.

The "Cooperation Protocol for Transferring Resources to the Defense Industry Support Fund" was executed and signed in March between the SSB and the EÜAŞ for provision of the technical infrastructure, needed by EÜAŞ at the electricity generation facilities using national resources. As part of the agreement, serving as a follow-up of such protocol, the breakdown maintenance activities, periodic maintenance & repairs, modifications, and the material supply for the gas and steam turbines, available in the inventory of EÜAŞ, will be provided by TEI.

The signing ceremony was attended by Gökhan Uçar, Deputy Secretary Aviation Systems, at the Secretariat of Defense Industries, and Zafer Benli, Chairman of the Board and General Manager of EÜAŞ, and Mesude Kılınç, the Head of Engine and Power Transmission Systems at the SSB, and Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, the CEO of TEI, and Veysel Geylani, the Head of Natural Gas Power Plants Department at EÜAŞ, as well as the executives at various agencies and companies.

A Strategic Cooperation between BAYKAR and TEI

BAYKAR, one of the leading brands in unmanned aerial vehicles and technologies in the global aviation industry, and TEI entered into a strategic cooperation on the second day of the SAHA EXPO International Defence & Aerospace Exhibition. The "TEI-PD170 and TEI-TJ60 Engine Mass Production Sales Project Strategic Cooperation Agreement" is now executed and signed at the ceremony held upon the attendance of Mustafa Köseoğlu, BAYKAR's Deputy General Manager, and Ahmet Kain, Vice President, Business Development and Sales at TEI.

Panel on International Cooperation in Defense and Security

Ahmet Kain, Vice President of Business Development and Sales at TEI, attended the panel, which was held during the SAHA EXPO 2024 under the theme "International Cooperation in Defense and Security" and moderated by Retired General Ergin Saygun.

TEI Participated in "Türkiye Innovation Week" with TEI-TF6000, Türkiye's First Aircraft Engine

Hosted for the 11th time by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly for the purpose of enhancing, expanding the innovation ecosystem and assuring the sustainability of innovation, "Türkiye Innovation Week" held at the Haliç Congress Center on October 10-11-12. TEI, Türkiye's leading company in aviation engines, attended the event with TEI-TF6000, Türkiye's first aircraft engine.

 TEI Received Award from the InovaLİG

TEI ranked 2nd in the Innovation Organization and Culture at the İnovaLİG, held by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly.

The award, to which TEI has become entitled thanks to its innovation organization and culture, was presented to Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, TEI's CEO, by Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye, at the Award Ceremony for the InovaLİG Champions, held as part of the Türkiye Innovation Week.

TEI Attended the Defense Industry Talent Management Summit

The Defense Industry Talent Management Summit, organized by the Defense Industry Academy, was held in Ankara on September 18-19.

Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, TEI's CEO, shared his opinions at the panel, organized under the theme "Leaders' Talent Management Agenda" and moderated by Prof. Cenk Aktaş, the Head of the Defense Industry Academy.

The session “Talent Market Specific to the Defense Industry” was moderated by Yeliz Çetinkaya, Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs at TEI.

During the closure of such special event that brought together the human resources professionals in the industry, Prof. Haluk Görgün, Secretary of the Defense Industries, presented the certificates to the members of the Corporate Academies Union, and the plaques to the sponsor companies.

Yeliz Çetinkaya, Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs at TEI, Received the "Top 50 Most Influential CHROs" Award

Having ranked once again among the "Top 50 CHROs in Türkiye", determined as based on the cooperation between BMI Business School Istanbul and DataExpert as part of the CHRO Summit, Yeliz Çetinkaya, Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs at TEI, received her award at the award ceremony, held in Istanbul on October 16. Mrs. Çetinkaya also participated as a panelist in the panel program, organized as part of the event, and shared her opinions on human resources transformation during the session with the theme “Culture, Leadership and Education”.

TEI Received the Special Certificate for Employee Carbon Footprint

TEI, Türkiye's leading engine company, which was deemed worthy of the Happy Workplaces - Türkiye's Happiest Workplace Award in 2024, was entitled to receive a special certificate in the category of "Employee Carbon Footprint" thanks to its activities in the field of sustainability. TEI will continue its actions with its sustainability-focused perspective for the aim of leaving a more livable world for the future generations.

TEI Received Two Awards at Youth Awards Ceremony

TEI received two awards at the Youth Awards 2024, held by Youthall and whereby the companies and the employer brand activities that are mostly admired by the youth are determined. TEI ranked third in the category, namely, "Most Desired Defense Industry Company to Work For", and received the success award thanks to the "Career at the Source of Power Program" in the "Most Popular Recruitment Program" category.

A Global Award to the TEI Women of Aviation Week Events

TEI was deemed worthy of the silver award in the category of "Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program Supporting the Corporate Reputation" at the Corporate Engagement Awards ceremony thanks to its projects of "Women of Aviation Week". Female students come together and they are made acquainted with the aviation industry in many events, held by TEI as part of the Women of Aviation Week each year.

TEI Attended Invest in Türkiye Forum 2024

Emre Saylan, Vice President of Finance and Sourcing at TEI, took part as a panelist in the "Growing Industries: Growth and Opportunities" panel at the Invest In Türkiye Forum 2024 event, held in the UK on September 18, and shared TEI's R&D-focused activities.

TEI Attended 23rd Eskişehir Quality Symposium

TEI Quality Team attended the Quality Symposium, held for the 23rd time by the Eskişehir Branch of Türkiye Quality Association, on October 8.

Support for Education by TEI

TEI, Türkiye's leading engine company, continues to contribute to the education in Türkiye and in Eskişehir, where its main premises are situated.

Developing various social responsibility projects for the students and educational institutions at all levels from preschool to postgraduate education, TEI gifted bag sets to all primary and secondary school students in the Beylikova district of Eskişehir, with the support and coordination of the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Eskişehir.

Assembled with contributions from TEI's employees, the bags included stationery items for students to use throughout the school year. Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, TEI's CEO, who gave advice to the students after the gift presentation attended by Sinan Aydın, the Provincial Director of National Education in Eskişehir, and other officials, wished success to the students and teachers for the new school year.

The projects will continue as part of the social responsibility activities at TEI, the Source of Power.

Hatay Serdar Demir Children's Houses Are Now Open

Hatay Serdar Demir Children's Houses, materialized as a symbol of the support mobilization carried out by the defense industry ecosystem, including TEI, under the leadership of the Secretariat of Defense Industries following the earthquake disasters suffered in Türkiye on February 6, 2023, are now opened under the auspices of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.

Remarkable Success at the CMAS Underwater Photo and Underwater Video World Championship!

Erkan Balk, a national athlete and TEI employee, won the gold medal in 2 categories at the 2024 CMAS Underwater Photo and Underwater Video World Championship!

Having become the champion in Türkiye by winning the gold medal in 3 categories at the 2024 Golden Flippers Underwater Imaging Türkiye Championship, Balk became the world champion in the video film and documentary video categories at the 20th Underwater Photo and the 6th Underwater Video World Championship, organized by the World Underwater Federation (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques, CMAS).

Erkan Balk made the entire TEI family proud again by winning the gold medal for the second time following his world championship title in 2023.
