Text-to-Video Generators, Smart Technologies and more

Hello,

We hope you are having a great weekend

OpenAI has announced the release of its latest model called Sora. This model generates complex scenes containing multiple characters with specific motions to create more realistic imaginary scenes.

Adobe has collaborated with Christian Cowan to create a new dress made of 1,264 petals, 144 stars, and 45,000 hand-placed crystals. The dress was showcased as part of the Adobe MAX 2023.

Qatar Museums has unveiled new details of the Lusail Museum through new renderings and a virtual flythrough video showcasing the building’s design.

Apple has recently developed a new artificial intelligence model with the University of California, Santa Barbara. The model, named MGIE (MLLM-Guided Image Editing), helps users edit their photos by simply providing plain-language text commands.

The AI Creative Challenge 4.0 has started, and yesterday, we announced the topic of the challenge as "AI-Driven Renovation: Reimagine the future of Historical Monuments." You still have the chance to join the competition.

AI Creative Challenge 4.0

The fusion of artificial intelligence (AI) and design technologies offers exciting new possibilities for creative expression. The AI Creative Challenge Series aims to explore the synergy between human creativity and AI-powered tools, such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and Dalle3, in the rapidly evolving field of architectural design.

Sora: OpenAI’s new text-to-video model can create realistic scenes

OpenAI has recently introduced its latest text-to-video generation model, Sora. Unlike other video generators, this new model has the ability to create complex scenes with multiple characters and specific types of motion, resulting in realistic imaginary scenes. It also has a deep understanding of language. However, it still has a few weaknesses, such as confusing spatial details of a prompt.

How does Singapore incorporate smart technology into the city?

Singapore, one of Asia’s most significant multi-cultural urban centers, is often referred to as the leading example of a smart city. The advantage of being a small city-state has allowed Singapore to structure a rather quick and uniform development, creating a well-connected system where the concept of a smart city could be adapted nationally.
