Thank You 2016 Hello 2017!

This is an open letter that are reflections of 2016 in hopes to express my gratitude for what was accomplished. When I started Drake's just over a year ago, I could have never imagined being where we are today. I want to sincerely thank all our AMAZING clients and candidates that got us to this point. As a company, we knew that we offered something special and we wanted to share that with as many people as possible. Our candidates and clients believed in what we were trying to accomplish and for that we are forever grateful. We would like to think that we made significant impacts on many people’s lives over the past year and that is the exact reason why I started this company.

As some of you may not know I started Drake's right out of a spare bedroom in my house. Nothing fancy just a desk, computer, and a phone. I had no clue on how I was going to make it work I just knew I wasn't going to fail. The first few months were like any other new business. It was slow rolling but we knew if we stayed true to who we are and what we know we were going to be fine. This was also the last time I questioned if we were going to make it. Fast forward to October we moved into our beautiful new office in Grandville, MI. It was a crazy exciting year with so many up's and downs. As a company, we weathered the storm and live to fight another day. We couldn't be more excited for 2017 and what crazy stories it will bring!

As we look into 2017, I wanted to give you a taste of what you can expect from Drake's. The first thing you can expect is a call from me and/or my team at some point. “just kidding” (not kidding) In all seriousness, we have a ton of exciting things planned for 2017. The one that is near and dear to my heart is the non-profit we have started. This is a platform where we will help veterans get back into the workforce with meaningful career jobs. We call this program Troops in Transition. We will be offering training programs, interview role play, mentoring, and tons of other resources to help get these amazing people get back to work. We have made many friendships and partnerships with other local companies that want to be involved. We will be launching a full release of this program later in the year with full details. This will educate people on what we are trying to accomplish and how YOU can help. It will also list our partnerships as they deserve a voice as well. This program is very important to Drake's and we will do whatever it takes!

If you ended up getting through this entire article we thank you for your time. This is really about all the people that believed in us throughout our first year. We couldn't have done this without you and you put us on the map. The phones are ringing off the hook because of you.
