Thanks dad for showing me how poor WE are !!!
Was reading through this, felt like sharing purely because how this child's innocence reminded me (rather made me nostalgic) the most humbling experiences of my life. At times somewhere in rat race, living through every day leaves me actually poor of the pleasures that I used to have when I was little, being lost in my own world. (and actually feel that kids nowadays may not enjoy the life the way we/I used to enjoy in childhood)
Perspective matters.. for father what is poverty is the luxury for the child!
Here it goes..
A very rich man took his son to a village to show what poverty is all about.
After the trip, he asked his son about poverty.
The son replied:
We have 1 dog.. they had 4
We have a small pool.. they have a long river
We have lamps.. they've stars
We have small piece of land.. they've large fields
We buy food.. they grow theirs and eat fresh
We have to play with computers & smart phones.. they have real friends to play..
We have money which is supposed to make us happy.. they have happiness hence they do not need money..
Their fathers have time for their children.. our fathers don't have..
By then boy's dad for speechless..
Then the boy said.. "Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are.. "
