Tom's experience with MCC

From my time working at My Credit Controllers, I have learnt a wide range of financial and technical skills which will help me with my future career. I have learnt how to use Excel at a much higher level than which I started at and how with the use of macros a complicated can be organised with a much higher efficiency.

In addition, I have learnt how the Credit XS system is operated and how company's invoices are managed professionally and accurately to ensure every client receives their money. I have also learnt how the team use invoices and emails to keep clients up to date and reassured that money is being chased.

From my time at work experience, I have been shown what a professional setting of an office should look like and how a team should work together to overcome problems and challenges no matter the severity. In addition, the team at MCC are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet and have taught me the skills that will help me in later life in ways of which will stay with me forever.

At the beginning of this week, I was quite nervous as it was my first time working in a professional environment but throughout the week the team have been more than happy to give me first-hand experience at sending emails and setting up invoices which has increased my confidence massively.

My favourite part of working at My Credit Controllers was learning how macros can be used to create shortcuts and simplify spreadsheets for everyone. With the help of Kirsty, I was able to create my own macro which helped me understand the coding side of Excel which previously I was quite hesitant to learn due to prior experience, but she taught them in a way that was easy to understand.
