Transitions: Marcia Moves On

Marcia Harris, the Office Manager of Perkins+Will, Boston – and my wife of 35 years and my business partner for the last 28 years (!!!) – is retiring this Friday, April 14th. She will be deeply missed.

Many of you know her because she has been central to so much of our practice – from client engagement and business management to financial management, project management, HR, IT, operations, organization, party planning and an endless supply of optimism and energy. Others know her for her personal good counsel, encouragement, perspective and wisdom.

One of Marcia’s more public initiatives has been the Battle of the Biotech Bands, a huge annual event which she helped create, organize and plan – bringing together over 2,000 people from all parts of the Boston life science world and raising over $175,000 for charity over its three years of production. This is just one of a million ways, large and small, that Marcia has touched not only our staff and clients, but also the community at large.

We wish her the best of luck and fun as she enters the next phase of her life!
