Tuning into our desire for change 🧩

Over the past week we gathered with the Coralus community in Adelaide. We started with “What brings you here?” and followed the energy through 3 days discussing what we are noticing, reflecting on our collective impact and tuned into our desire for change. There was a clear intention to create an Australian Coralus strategy and to begin to explore that, we got out of our heads and into our bodies, led through movement activities by Johanna de Ruyter and Sophia van Ruth of Wicked Elephants. Then we focused on metaphorical thinking where, MJ Ryan reminds us, our future lives — see lego (thanks  Dr. Kate Raynes-Goldie  for leading!) and craft (with the Ventures as the core of the structure) and storytelling exercises. 

In the words of local community members…

• Gail Wong, ACC : It hit me how many new and real friends I made over the last 3 years in Coralus zoom breakout rooms. I can’t wait to get out first of many hugs/laughs and heart to hearts IRL, and start new friendships with Adelaide Activators.
• Sam Jockel : I took a risk and showed up with an open heart… what unfolded was safety, life, deep connection and hope… and a reminder to keep taking risks, that we are not in this alone, that change is coming, to keep showing up, and stay present to what continues to be the adventure of a lifetime.
• Tania Jolley : If you've ever wondered what a different system to support founders looks like, this is it!!! With gratitude and generosity pouring from everyone involved we are looking at and measuring what impact means in a very different way. It's not always about financial numbers…
• Yupin Robson : A few of the words that I heard today that will stick: Emergent, Choice, Regenerative, Circular, System-Change, Love.
• Leesa Chesser : It’s interesting to reflect on where we’ve come from in a relatively short time with a global pandemic creating some turbulence along the journey. Our Adelaide Activator community has been so happy to share our city with our guests as we explored, pondered, reflected on our impacts and celebrated together.
