Unlocking Human Potential: Transforming Costs into Smart Savings through Automation

Companies are on a constant search for ways to become more efficient and save both time and money throughout their operations. Doing this the right way can allow them to expand more quickly and remain profitable while staying ahead of the competition.

In an era where companies in every sector and across all industries are embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI), one of the most effective ways to do this is through Robotic Process Automation, or RPA.

Defining Robotic Process Automation

This powerful technology uses software robots to automate repetitive, rule-based tasks and improve workflow management within business processes. RPA systems mimic human actions to execute tasks such as data entry, data extraction, and transaction processing across multiple systems and applications. Companies that embrace RPA and Cognitive Automation can vastly improve their efficiency and simultaneously become more responsive to both customer and employee needs.

Cognitive RPA works by leveraging the combination of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities, allowing robots to handle more complex tasks and use cases that involve decision-making and natural language processing. This reduces costs and improves efficiencies by augmenting the efforts of an existing workforce. According to research by IBM, more than 90% of C-level executives report that some level of intelligent automation is already being usedby their organizations.

Understanding how to implement RPA involves identifying suitable processes for automation, designing workflows, developing and deploying automation scripts, and monitoring performance, all while working closely with a partner with experience in multiple sectors and industries. Once in place and running, the benefits companies will find from RPAimplementation include increased efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and cost savings, along withimproved employee productivity and job satisfaction.

How RPA Benefits Companies

Increased efficiency and reduced costs are the most immediate results for companies that adopt RPA technology into their processes. On a global basis, a broad variety of reports and surveys from industries across all sectors provide vivid examples of the results companies have been able to achieve.

According to research from India’s National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), organizations that adopt and implement RPA have been able to reduce onshore operational costs a striking 35-65%. Those same companies have also seen a 10-30% reduction in costs for offshore delivery.

Gartner predicts that this year alone, “large organizations will triple the capacity of their existing RPA portfolios.” That same report predicted a 20% increase on a global basis for the use of RPA software. Also, they mentioned that 2024 will be the year organizations can successfully lower operational costs up to 30% by combining hyper-automation technologies with redesigned operational processes.

By next year, Automation Anywhere predicts that the potential economic impact of RPA and knowledge work automation will be in the range of $5-7 trillion.

Where will the impact be the greatest? In a survey question about RPA on the Gartner Peer Community bulletin board, the company found that IT, HR, Healthcare and Finance were amongthe areas users found the most value when implementing this robust technology.

Companies simply need to find and devise the right strategy to make it happen. Having the right partner, a skilled advisor who knows RPA inside and out and has worked across multiple sectors and a variety of industries, is key to that success.

Our RPA Success Stories

NEORIS has helped many companies find success through Robotic Process Automation strategies, often completely revamping the way they do business in a collaborative process.

One of our most recent success stories comes from the agribusiness world. We collaborated with DLF, a leader in the supply of grass seeds, forage, and other crops in the United States and in more than 80 countries. The company needed to find a way to automate data entry on seed research from 18 different laboratories. The main challenge faced by the company's supply chain was the manual entry of the Seed Analysis Reports into the Navision ERP system. During a 12-week period, we were able to use RPA and AI to create and implement the Seed Enhancer Bot. Through this initiative, the manual entry of reports was completely eliminated, reducing processing time by 93%, while upholding the utmost quality standards. Data accuracy improved by 95%, labor costs were saved, and the process became completely automated, speeding up workflow management for DLF’s employees and vastly improving efficiency in servicing their customers.

RPA also helped one of our manufacturing clients ― one of the largest tire manufacturers and marketers in North Americasave +32.000 hours of labor and millions of dollars every year. We began working with them in 2019, designing a plan to help them streamline costs, automate more than 100 processes, and bring products to market more quickly. Their challenges includeda variety of time-consuming manual tasks, such as physically printing and manually stamping invoices, scanning, and filing documents on a shared drive, or manipulating data in Excel spreadsheets.
