Introduction to Our Rebranding Journey

For the past two years, European Recruitment has been on a transformative journey. Next week, we arrive at a culminating moment as we rebrand to European Tech Recruit and launch our new website!        

This change is not merely cosmetic; it marks a comprehensive overhaul of our brand identity, aligning our image more closely with our specialised focus on the technology sector. This evolution signifies our transition from a brand identity that portrays us as a generalist recruitment firm to a brand image that more accurately presents us as a leader in tech recruitment across Europe.

Why Change?

The initiative to rebrand was driven by the realisation that our previous identity no longer accurately reflected the depth of expertise or the breadth of services we currently offer. 'European Recruitment' was a name that facilitated our growth and helped establish our presence across various industries. However, as we focus on technology sectors exclusively, it became evident that our branding needed to evolve to accurately mirror our specialised services and to avoid ambiguity about our market focus.

As Chris Canneaux, Director, explained:

“We felt that our old branding and website didn’t reflect and convey as best possible our expertise and true focus on the technology industry, so we really want to focus on making this at the forefront of our new branding.”

Deep Dive into the Rebranding Process

Our rebranding journey began in early 2023. Initiating this process involved extensive internal reviews and market research to clearly define our brand ethos and how we wanted to be perceived in the marketplace. Understanding these elements was crucial, as it highlighted the misalignments between our existing brand and the dynamic, tech-centric identity we aspired to project.

Strategic Brand Name Change

After numerous brainstorming sessions and consultations with branding experts, we chose 'European Tech Recruit.' This new name succinctly encapsulates our core functions:

  • We are a recruitment firm.
  • We specialise in the technology industry.
  • We operate across Europe.

This change, while subtle, makes a significant difference in clarifying our positioning and enhancing our market presence. It signals to clients and candidates alike that we are wholly dedicated to the tech sector.

Logo and Visual Identity Redesign

The redesign of our logo and visual identity was crucial in reflecting our new direction. The previous logo, which featured an abstract 'diamond,' was phased out as it no longer conveyed the attributes or values of our brand effectively. The new logo is sleek, modern, and tech-oriented, designed to mirror the efficiency and dynamism of the tech sectors we serve.

Our colour palette was also overhauled to incorporate bold and vibrant colours, moving away from the subdued tones of the past. This change was both aesthetic and strategic, aiming to make our brand visually stand out in a competitive market and to reflect our commitment to diversity, energy, and modernity in tech.

Website Overhaul for Enhanced User Experience

Our website underwent the most significant transformation — it was redone from scratch in order to create a visually appealing and user-friendly platform. The new website is designed with a clean, minimalist aesthetic, emphasising ease of navigation and straightforward access to vital information. It acts as a digital hub for both clients seeking top-tier tech talent and professionals exploring career opportunities in the technology sector.

Advanced SEO strategies and refreshed content have been implemented to improve discoverability and engagement. The site’s architecture enhances the user journey, providing a seamless experience from the initial visit to application or contact.

Involvement and Feedback

This rebranding was a collaborative effort, involving feedback from various levels within our organisation — from senior management to those more at the coal face. David Wicks, Founder and Managing Director, expressed his satisfaction with the process:
