User-Friendly, Precise, Compact and with the right temperature – the TD 4 from LAUDA Scientific

The stand-alone TD 4 tensiometer from LAUDA Scientific offers fully automatic determination of surface and inter-facial tension combined with easy operation, a precise force measurement system and compact dimensions.

The new, intuitive operating unit is immediately striking. With its large touchscreen, its ergonomic, intuitive operation and its smart user assistance, the TD 4 is a reliable partner for day-to-day routine measurements in chemistry, pharmaceuticals and quality assurance. User management allows different user-levels in accordance with GLP.

The measured values can be displayed either as a table or a diagram.

Thanks to the precise mechanical system and position measurement, reliable measurement is even possible at small surface and interfacial tension levels. In the case of low density differences in particular, determining the lamella height and the adjustable movement speed provide reliable measurement without the danger of tearing off a lamella. The precise distance measurement and automatic detection of the surface with the TD 4 enables an automatic measurement with the highest possible precision and reproducibility, even using the Wilhelmy plate method.

The device software is integrated in the operating unit, so that an additional PC is not needed to evaluate the measurements. When using the PTT+ Peltier temperature control system in particular, accurate temperature control is a given while at the same time taking up little space and providing the greatest control convenience.

For the user, selecting the standard method has been made much easier, since standard methods for transformer oils, lamp oils etc. to ASTM D971; EN 14210; EN 14370; IEC 62961; EN 14059 are already implemented in the software. User-defined methods are easy to set up. Density measurements can also be carried out using the plunger body supplied as standard.
