Job Description:

COPPER 360 LTD has a permanent position available for an Electrical Foreman. The electrical foreman will be responsible in an advisory and support role for all HT, MV, and LV electrical, green energy, and instrumentation development, installation, operation, maintenance, and repairs.

 The person will report to the Section Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that the plant is always available, with fewer and shorter breakdown periods.

• Plan, manage, and report on the daily activities of staff. Ensure that staff are always occupied and perform their duties as required, including:

o   Installations,

o   Inspections in line with set schedules,

o   Training as scheduled,

o   Spares management (new and repairs),

o   Other repair work, and

o   Scheduled maintenance.

• Relieve the engineer as and when required.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Understanding & Application of the Mines Health and Safety Act and Regulations (ACT NO29 of 1996)
• Trade Test (Millwright or Electrician)
• N3 (Electrical Heavy Current) or equivalent
• Code 8 driver’s license
• Fitness Certificate
• Computer Literacy

Knowledge and Skills required:

• 2 Years experience in a similar role
• HT, MV, and LV installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Works well in a team
• Patient/ Hardworking
• Safety-Consciousness
