Vacature HR Content Designer

Once upon a time, HR services were an afterthought. There were plenty of applicants for every job, and when someone joined an organization, they would stay for life. Or, at least, until they received their company engraved watch. Those days are behind us. Companies now recognize that HR processes are key to ongoing success. So Visma | Raet clients are invested in our HR solutions. But do they instinctively grasp the way our tooling works? And, if not, how can we help them get more out of our solutions? Clear, concise and engaging content is the answer. Can you deliver on that promise?

As our Content Designer you will

• help colleagues to create and manage user-friendly content both in Dutch and English
• align with our documentation team and check translations
• perform quality checks (together with Product Owners), e.g. by determining whether the terms used are correct for the context; which means you have impact on our software solutions in the development stages
• shine your light on content guidelines and create/manage an inventory of terms, labels, clauses and messages. You will design content flows in dialogs, strive for natural language and proactively advocate the use of it
• become our favourite (fictional) client/user; try to look at it from their side: if this was your platform, would you understand everything?
• maintain consistency across our publications and documentation, e.g. by creating and implementing guidelines, setting up online help and creating copy
• document and continually improve the design system (ZOOM) and advise on UX topics

In this role, you will strike a spot-on balance between engaging and concise textual content for HR Core platform users. An impactful job, because this platform streamlines HR and payrolling processes for well over 10,000 organizations, which means your copy is read by an audience of roughly 1.6 million users. So texts that read like they were Google Translated from French to Chinese and back to English are a definite no-no. It’s up to you to develop, manage and continuously fine-tune content for this and other Visma | Raet apps, so we present end users with the right information, delivered in the right tone of voice.

This is what you bring to the table

You’re a textual mastermind who almost instinctively grasps which copy works in which setting. You have a proven ability to create texts that grab and hold a reader’s attention. Although we absolutely welcome creativity and it is imperative you want to get the message across quickly and efficiently. After all, clear content helps clients achieve their HR ambitions effortlessly.

Must haves

• you deliver bachelor’s/master’s level results
• you have 2+ years of experience in the content field, preferably in an IT-setting
• you love teamwork, but won’t die of neglect when you tackle projects solo
• you want to tackle content challenges early in the innovation process
• you are a worthy content strategy ambassador, both within the Product Design team and the broader Visma | Raet community
• not a must but certainly welcome; knowledge of Human Resources and/or Payrolling
• fluent in English and native Dutch

As our Content Designer, you are a member of the Product Design team, based in Amersfoort (NL) and Madrid (ES). You work in close collaboration with the Lead Product Designer, UX designers, visual designers and product owners.
