SUEZ and First Climate announce biochar carbon removal contract with Microsoft at Viva Technology
Last week, at the VivaTech event in Paris, industrial biochar producer Carbonity and carbon asset manager First Climate have announced the signing of a forward contract with Microsoft regarding the delivery of carbon dioxide removal credits.
The joint venture partners will begin operations at their Carbonity facility in Quebec by the end of 2024 with an expected annual production capacity starting at 10,000 tons of biochar.
The contract is set for a volume of 36,000 tons of carbon credits to be issued and delivered within the next three years.

NX Filtration signs contract for the world’s largest hollow fiber nanofiltration WTP!
The global leader in advanced hollow fiber membrane technology, will supply its hollow fiber nanofiltration membrane modules to an indirect portable water reuse system in Mexico, marking NX Filtration’s largest project to date.
The project, part of SAPAL’s ERA program aims for the production of drinking water based on water from the Desbaste wastewater treatment plant, in an indirect portable reuse scheme including hollow fiber nanofiltration and advanced oxidation technologies. The water reuse concept is crucial in addressing ongoing surrounding water scarcity issues. The overall application of NX Filtration's hollow-fiber nanofiltration membranes will ensure efficient and cost-effective, and largely chemical free, water treatment contributing to enhanced water quality and environmental sustainability at the world’s largest scale today.

The leader has recently announced a new role for Jan Feie Zwiers as their new Chief Financial Officer! The new position will see light from 1st August 2024, following the step down from Marc Luttikhuis on 30th June.
Jan Feie Zwiers has an excellent track record of managerial experience and a broad financial background. Since 2010, he has held the position of Group Finance & Control Director and Executive Board Member at BDR Thermea Group

Lori D Koch to succeed Edward D. Breen as CEO of DuPont!
Last week, DuPont announced a leadership transition and of Lori Koch to take over Ed Breen as Chief Executive Officer following Ed’s transition to Executive Chair Role. Previously, Lori was Chief Financial Officer at DuPont and has worked within the company for over 20 years.
Mr Breen stated:
