Webinar - Introduction to Risk Assessment - 7th February 2025

Start the year off right with out first webinar for 2025.

Machines can help improve production efficiency in the workplace. However, their moving parts, sharp edges and hot surfaces often cause serious workplace injuries such as crushed fingers or hands, amputations, burns, blindness or even death. Therefore, safeguards are essential to protect workers from injury and also meet legal obligations as per the state based legislation.

In this presentation, we will introduce "AS/NZS 4024.1201 General principles for design—Risk assessment and risk reduction" and the process for risk assessment it gives us, as well as what should be done in the next steps if risk is identified to be inadequately controller.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will learn:

  • What is the purpose of a risk assessment for machinery;
  • What standards should be utilised when performing a risk assessment on machinery;
  • The basic process for performing a risk assessment on machinery; and
  • What things to look for when performing a risk assessment on machinery.

The webinar is at 12 PM AEDT and will run for roughly 45 minutes, so grab some lunch and join us.
