Hootsuite:

Hootsuite has published its Social Media Benchmarks Report for Q2 2024. The report covers various industries, including wellness, real estate, and entertainment, providing benchmarks on impressions, audience growth, and engagement rates. It also explains how to calculate these benchmarks and why they are crucial for monitoring.

TikTok:

TikTok is finally letting users upload a custom cover image to their videos! Now, within the upload flow in the app, you can either choose a specific frame from the video to be your thumbnail image, or you can tap on the “Upload” option to add your own custom visual for your hero image.

Meta AI

Meta AI is testing out comment summaries on Facebook. This feature allows Meta AI to generate summaries of comments on your posts, helping others quickly catch up with the conversation. You can remove summaries generated by Meta AI. These summaries are available for some public posts, posts in public groups, and Page posts with many comments. Page owners or admins can also choose to disable all comment summaries on a Page.

LinkedIn:

LinkedIn is expanding its sponsored articles to include newsletters, providing brands with new lead generation opportunities. This feature allows company pages to boost their newsletters, attract more sign-ups, and expand their reach. LinkedIn has reported a 47% increase in newsletter engagement over the past year, with more than 184,000 newsletters published. The rollout of sponsored newsletters is ongoing and will soon be available to all users.
