What do I do when the prospects stop responding?

Phone, email, SMS... all turning cold.

I thank the prospect silently.

Usually, prospects turn cold when they do not want to buy from me 'at this moment'.

Did I lose them to a competitor? Maybe.

And, that is one of the reasons why I make sure that I build a good rapport with them since the beginning.

Such a way that they wouldn't shy sharing their (purchase) decision.

But, what to do about the 'cold' situation anyway? I have no idea what exactly has happened to my deal.

I'd like to keep in touch and offer space so that the prospect can take their own decision and a non-obligatory help if they require any. Anything related to their purchase decision.

They have a complete right to inquire, research, test and evaluate the solution that fits their needs and taste.

Because I'm not trying to manipulate or influence the decision I'm all smiling even if the prospect has turned cold.

They didn't turn cold to me. Probably they need some space or has found what they were looking for.

And every 'cold' lead is an indication of a higher focus on the other leads in the pipeline. More attention per prospect.

My daily prospecting habit is the reason I can afford leads turning dead or cold.

Not everyone will engage, focusing on non responders is a system . Put them in the fridge, pull their name out in 4 to 6 months with an update. Hey ... just checking in, our company just awarded me with trip to ... or a $500 bonus or updated product with x results. Etc
