What to expect at Demo Day 2024
Join us on September 10, 2024, at 5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place during IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show for Demo Day 2024. This year’s theme, “Artificial Intelligence. Real Manufacturing Work,” highlights how AI is expanding the possibilities of the Vention Manufacturing Automation Platform, from design to deployment.
During Demo Day 2023, we augmented the Vention platform with the launch of the 4th pillar: Operate. This addition completed the breadth of the Vention platform, building on the Design, Automate, Order, and Deploy pillars released in prior years. Vention clients now have access to a one-stop-shop experience that significantly accelerates and simplifies the realization of end-to-end automation and robotics projects.
Demo Day 2024 takes a different route, building powerful capabilities in each of the platform’s pillars. Experience how manufacturers are using these technologies to rapidly and easily adopt industrial automation and robotics solutions.
Curious about the keynote and product announcements for Demo Day 2024? Here is a sneak peek below. ⬇️
How cloud robotics, AI, and platforming are reshaping industrial automation
Etienne Lacroix , Founder & CEO
Industrial automation and robotics are undergoing an unprecedented wave of innovation that could resemble the early days of the PC industry. This momentum has the power to unlock the adoption of industrial automation like never before. Recent years’ technological progress in terms of productization and platforming has considerably reduced adoption barriers to automation. The emergence of artificial intelligence has the potential to drive adoption even further.
Generative design meets industrial LEGO parts
Jeff Timanus , VP of Software Engineering
This year, MachineBuilder received its most comprehensive suite of enhancements of the last three years. New features included a streamlined design flow, smarter part placement, enhanced part manipulation, and contextual design and part specifications. At Demo Day 2024, we’re building upon these releases to push the frontier of automated equipment and robot cell design with generative AI technology applied to modular automation components.
Digital twins are going mainstream
Audrey Muchembled , Software Engineering Manager
MachineLogic has provided a code-free programming and simulation environment for multiple years. It has enabled countless manufacturers to create digital twins and de-risk their automation projects before capex expenditure. Earlier this year, we introduced powerful robot instructions and scene asset features to MachineLogic, making the creation of digital twins an even more important step to de-risk a project. But what if, with the help of AI, digital twins could make another leap in terms of accuracy compared to their physical twin counterparts?
Programming environments are converging
Rob Hernandez , Director of Channel and Alliance
Whether you are developing a web page or programming a robotics system, software development tools are converging. The introduction of AI-driven features in robotics further accelerates this need for the convergence of software development tools. Last year, Python programming was added to MachineLogic to empower advanced developers. This year, MachineLogic will get an AI injection to further support control and robotics experts seeking a powerful software development environment.
Motion control is entering the post-PLC era
Francois Giguere , Chief Technology Officer
Modern cloud robotics platforms deserve modem automation control on the edge. With the convergence of software development tools, the elimination of the divide between robot programming and PLC programming, and the introduction of compute-intensive AI capabilities on the edge, automation controllers are poised to enter a brand new era.
